TIPS JIMAT PETROL: Pilih Stesyen Minyak Terbaik

RON95?

Petronas = 350KM

BH Petrol = 350KM

 Shell = 315KM

Petron = 315KM

So? Bukan untuk ajak ramai-ramai pergi isi Petronas atau BH Petrol, tetapi sekadar pendapat. Just for information sharing, Shell is one of top 5 Oil and Gas Company in the world and Petron is Philippines-based.

p/s: Tetapi aku selalu isi Petronas atau BH Petrol sahaja.
p/s: Sorry, no information about Caltex and Esso

SUCCESS: How to work with Senior?

Prosper – the name of successive infusion between junior and senior. Junior is the name given to someone immature and inexperience in certain aspects and senior is on contrary. I am obligated to publish this post as some conflict occurs between me and my boss. Not to mention everything, I just want to share to readers on how to work with senior.

Since I entered working world, I have seen that some seniors threat juniors very poor. Bossing around, neglecting ideas and talking harsh are what they did. Some of them are actually have lower qualification than the junior such as poses Diploma only whereas their junior has Degree or even Masters! They felt that since they work longer, they are more expert than junior. Indeed. But I analyzed that for a boss who has only Diploma, their way of thinking is quite inefficient.

The phase “I know everything but I don’t know how to say” is rightly suits them. For junior, maybe the phase “I know so little but I know how to interpret every single of it into my job” could be correct.

You understand what I mean isn’t? Experience itself cannot drive you further without excellent managing systematically on what you want to achieve. However to be stress here, good education is not a necessity for a good managing thinking. It is all about how genius you are!

Genius people who ROCK the world!

As example see Robert Kuok, the SUGAR KING in Malaysia or more famous, Bill Gates of Microsoft. They all start with so little experience but their attitude propels them to be as success as they are today. Back to topic, to solve the issue, both parties, junior and senior need to combine forces and not doing work by caste. Together they need to blend their ideas and experiences for the sake of the company. Not to say only for company’s benefits but imagine how wonderful workplace it will be if they cooperate!

So readers please respect the seniors but don’t be afraid to flaunting your views. To seniors, consider your junior more frequently as they are needed for the company’s future especially if you are running your own business.

CAREER ADVICE: Continue the Job or not?

We are never ever ever getting back together,
We are never ever ever getting back together,

Somehow this song (by Taylor Swift) fits my emotion right now. Hey, it’s not about breaking apart with someone but it’s about wanting to breaking up with my current messy job in which I believe it leads to unclear future.

Before I work here, I used to work at a Japanese-production Company. The reason why I quit the job was because most of the time I have nothing to do, I mean I have no work. If I do have work, honestly I think the work is for technician / operator level. By the way it is not only me who felt this way. My fellow “engineer” friends also thought the same. We want something valuable that could bring forward to the promising future.

Apart from that, the company itself had been downgraded in many aspects such as poor canteen service, implementation of arguable rules as well as office politics and so whatever that gave me and my friends good enough reasons to leave.

To add to the points, we are still young! Yes. We are young and eager to success. Hoping for a bright future, that’s our aim! So, as the time had come, I left the company.

A Man With the Blue Jumpsuit
Hoping for a fate changes, I accept my current role at my new company. Things are always getting better at the start. LOTS of promises had been SAID by my boss. But he once said to me “Sometimes things are not always go as what we expected to be”. Yes indeed. That’s why now I rather believe LOTS of promises are always painful.

I tried every day to “get into” every single task that being given to me. At the start I felt quite stress because everything is new. Name it electrical stuff, Chinese language and even office environment, all are new to me, on contrary I’m Mechanical Degree and used to work in production floor. It is like a Culture Shock to me. Later on time, as I getting used to this new environment, I feels more excited to learn and continue my adventures at this company. Moreover it is an Oil and Gas Company. However as time slips by, the task I have getting less and even lesser. Even when I post this, I have no job!

I ask U, what would U felt if something like this happened:

     o       U have a boss who “ignores” U and team mates who likes to work alone.
     o       Both of them never “cc” or email U nothing for weeks as if there are no jobs to be done.
     o       But when U approaches both, U learned something happen.
     o       U felt frustrated and abandoned.
     o       A team mate is just a name. In reality he always works alone never compromising U.
     o       Ouch! Is that hurt??
     o       Thinking positive, U tried so hard to follow them. Ask them daily, even ask for emails, etc.
     o       At the end U finally realizes that U are not “worth” to be here.
·
The conclusion is? Does U have what it takes to be noticed? If no then what it is? Would U consider staying and continually accepting this kind of environment? Well, I see there is no clear future for me ahead. I have been waiting for quite some time. How long will I wait? Only God and I know it. I will just pray for the best. Waiting here in silence but be more active. Yeah.. active until my mind blows up... then there will be no more ME...

Power Meter PM810
Dear readers, I don’t really want to post something like this. I know there are some of U out there who might also working with the same company as me. As U wish, U can think whatever. Your advices are really appreciated by me. And if I hurting your feelings, I’m so sorry, I just need to stretch out my heart content for a while..

RESUME TIPS: Work Experience Write Up

Here's the deal. A brief of an article that is ILLEGALLY copied from:

Title:       It's All About Work Experience
Author:   Daryl Wong

It’s all about perception!

If you are not getting any calls for interviews, even though you have applied for hundreds of jobs, it’s undoubtedly due to your resume lacking the “power” and significantly underselling your abilities and experience.

While you may actually be a very good fit for the roles to which you have applied, chances are that your resume doesn’t instill that perception in the 15-20 seconds that those charged with screening resumes typically spend per applicant.

How does one create the perception? First off, what do all employers look for in a candidate, regardless of the position? They are always looking for candidates that can demonstrate or proof one or more of the following:

  1. Made the company money: What specific projects or work efforts have you completed that directly increased the bottom line?
  1. Saved the company money: Have you developed ways to trim production costs or perform certain tasks more efficiently?
  1. Improved operations and made things run more smoothly: Have you changed office operations, improved employee morale and retention, or increased productivity?
  1. Gone "above and beyond" the call of duty: Have you delivered superior performance on a special project or had sustained performance over a period of time?
